The case study of effects on social interaction and communication through sandplay therapy with autistic child

Abstract

|
This study presents a case of sandplay therapy for a eleven-year-old girl who shows autistic disorder. And through a sandplay therapy, the girl develops social interaction ability and communication. The 18 sandplay sessions are implemented and take counsel with mother during the sandplay. In conclusion, the girl shows positive interaction relationship between client and therapist through sandplay sessions and the girl have the sandplay to oneself. Also, the girl doesn¡¯t develops easy language extension or conversation but when researcher calls a girl¡¯s by name, the child shows interaction as looking at each other. The study shows social interaction ability ad communication development of autistic disorder child through sandplay therapy.
